Cops blockade Agrexco warehouse

fil | 07.02.2009 08:23 | Campaign against Carmel-Agrexco | Palestine

At 7.30 this morning, demonstrators arrived in front of the Carmel-Agrexco warehouse for a sunrise picknick, only to discover 40 members of the Metropolitan Constabulary staging a blockade in solidarity with Palestine.

A police spokesperson has informed us that the blockade has lasted all night and that they intend to maintain it for the rest of the day. The police have called out for people to join their blockade.

Hooray for the MET!

I take back everything I ever said about the police. 3 cheers for the police and their change of heart. Hip-hip HOORAY. Hip-hip HOORAY. Hip-hip HOORAY. For they are jolly good fellows. May they continue the blockade of this illegal and immoral company all day and come back soon.

Hooray

Blue Bloc

07.02.2009 10:46

I was going to attend the action but have decided against it in view of the Blue Bloc being there as these are prone to acts of severe violence and agression,I won`t be surprised if the whole place isn`t smashed to pieces by the end of the day!
Think I`ll go shop liberating instead!

limit sarcasm

07.02.2009 13:29

As you can see from the comments which have been added, too many readers of IMC are unable to recognize sarcasm and will be misled by postings like this which do not include a warning label.

Folks -- the cops were NOT joining your blockade of the plant. They were there to prevent YOU from latching onto the gates. Or perhaps to keep YOU from breaking in.

Of course that latter might have been for YOUR benefit. Perhaps they had been passed the word "either you keep them away or we'll make sure there are enough of our people inside to ensure a different outcome".

Sarctastic

07.02.2009 14:57

Dearest MDN. I think there is maybe only one IMC reader who cannot recognise sarcasm. And that is YOU. The previous 2 comments were quite obviously sarcstic, following the vein of the jesting article. Oh dear.

Hooray

sarcasm

did the third poster fail to see the sarcastic tones in the first two comments or did i fail to see them in the third!

confusing

Not scarcastic

07.02.2009 16:10

I wasn`t being scarcastic,in fact I`m having an enjoyable day free shopping without any hassles from the Met,long may they keep up thier blockade of Carmel Agrexco. Solidarity to Palestine.

three cheers

Nice to see the cops ready to serve their usual masters' interests - war, inequality, occupation, and the Israeli state. Hooray!

Heres to the day when no one has to liberate from shops, even dodgy ones

07.02.2009 17:33

I hope no one thinks everyone on IMC is a shop "liberator", it can be very dodgy, I know from personal experience as I was homeless for many years, if you have to do it to survive or skip from bins after a nervous breakdown etc, it soons loses it glamour, especially if you get caught. Thats why any current governments steal in a "legal way" invading other lands etc, etc, they are worse, they murder in the thousands.
Just because the corporatge state relies on theft via taxes & invasions& wage slavery doesnt mean that its the best thing to do, we do all the time, we do it to survive when necessary.

Slag me off if you want "liberators",I know your good people, but any kids reading this or people new to our general ideas need to know, there is some truth to the term property is theft, but if someone tries to take your needed personal property, even for common good anyone would be pissed off

humour by-pass?

07.02.2009 17:54

Ho ho, don't know what's funnier - the original posting or the follow-up comments!
Might be a good way forward with future protests though - stand alongside (not facing) cops, photoshop a few placards in their hands and send the resulting 'Solidarity' pics to the mainstream press.

really?

07.02.2009 18:58

"Folks -- the cops were NOT joining your blockade of the plant. They were there to prevent YOU from latching onto the gates. Or perhaps to keep YOU from breaking in."

Or to prevent you from burning the place down like someone did to that Starbucks in London...

Bollards to Palestwhine - my revolution does not involve supporting religious maniacs and terrorists.

They Can Not Stop Us From

07.02.2009 19:20

going to supermarkets filling trolley with Agrexco goods and leaving the trolley in the aisles on the shop floor. No damage no theft but very annoying for shop manager as they have to ask their staff for the goods to be put back on the shelf from the trolley.

So since the police are stopping the blockade of Agrexco all those people who were going to turn up just go to a supermarket and find those Israeli products!

Good Luck

Oh and the zionists who visit this website ...piss off!
