Department of Homeland Security shuts down websites, but they can “Byte my back

Von Helman | 08.02.2011 17:41 | Other Press | Technology | World

Concern over the US Department of Homeland Security confiscating and closing down websites for copyright infringements with the real purpose of censorship

Now I’m nobody special, and I simply write an editorial opinion article for a small web site and truth be told I don’t even consider myself a professional writer but what I do write does find its way around the world and has been published on many news sites and blogs and read by millions of people. However what makes me prouder of my copious amounts of circulation is not how far and wide my message gets spread but the fact I get the goat of the governments around the world as I call them out on their lies, corruption, criminal acts and their deceitful ways of covering up their activities.

I’m simply a peaceful protester using a keyboard and a very strong opinion and I tell it like it is and if my words for speaking the truth make me a criminal for calling out any government than maybe the truth needs to be reviewed because that’s what every politician and law maker claims to stand for when sworn into office when they raise their hand to take the oath. Unfortunately they often lie on that oath taking ceremony too so what hope is there for them.

Now today what I find alarming is that the US Department of Home Land Security is now confiscating and closing websites around the world (Not just in the USA) that violate US copyright laws or infringes on re-posting articles even when those original articles don’t meet certain copyright laws or are just linked via a small snippet and the original link.

Not only does it strike me funny that the DHS which is tasked with closing the Southern border of the USA can’t even handle that task has now gone after web sites and are closing them down all due to copyright infringements. Go figure that re-posting or sharing news and information was of greater security than actually closing a border where human trafficking and drug smuggling run ramped is just downright laughable to me, but what do I know I’m just a lonely writer behind a key board.

What first comes to mind behind this censorship issue with the DHS is that some big lobby paid big bucks to keep their news stories on paid sites which is so common for big business to do and if so then the DHS whores themselves out to the highest bidder as usual and have now taken it upon themselves to “police” the internet under the guise of homeland security.

In reality I tend to think of this as being more of a control issue and a way to censor news stories from getting around or the truth from being able to be spread. The hypocrisy of anyone in the USA government calling out Iran or Egypt for shutting down social networks sites or the internet during their country’s civil unrest is laughable when the USA is now doing the same thing under the pretext of upholding the law in the name of homeland security while millions of dollars of drugs and countless people are Sheppard over the southern border is just dumbfounding.

So the simple solution my friends to this copyright infringement issue and the southern border is to use the one rock theory (to kill two birds with one stone) is to follow the lead of open source programs in the sense of freely sharing and working together in getting your original news and information out in a free open source way so that these bogus laws which “The Powers That Be” claim are for the protection of the Homeland security can be cleansed with the truth and exposed for what they really are, a form of government censorship.

So from my small corner of the world and in my small part way I will say here publicly that any news article or opinion piece that I write at any point in time are freely available to be re-posted in their entirety, and used anywhere in the world.

I will also do my part to write truthful articles that expose the truth in how corrupt and deceptive governments, banks, and people in power really are. Other than that I do not have any personal, political, or religious agenda to push, just the simple truth of how most people are truly enslaved.

So in closing if the DHS tries to censor or shut down anyone using one of my articles the DHS can “byte my back site” as I will stand up and prevent the case from going forward while the truth gets out there freely.

Together we will can also kill the MSM and their shark like lawyers who feed in a frenzy on anyone that removes a dollar from their pockets, the cyber revolution has begun and I am but one of millions of warriors out there serving and doing my part for truth and true freedoms of the people I call my fellow man.

Humbly your freedom writer,

Von Helman
