Hey, reporter - REMEMBER peace works, despite warspin pay-offs. Unratchet !
29-03-2007 15:54
The BIG news, for the uk - for the world, in fact, is the under reporting of the "gritty miracle" of the N.I. peace process -far from as "grubby" as the "Indy" (29/4/7) paints it . . . . but if you are in that minderbinder, war racketeer-spiv industry, perhaps the threat of a good example. The intriguing "LITTLE" gaps or odd spasms in the Shatt al-arab tale are luminous, though. Very "con venient" for warbux, less for people. . . .Britain heightens confrontation with Iran over detained sailors
29-03-2007 15:50
The Blair government, backed by the Bush administration, yesterday stepped up diplomatic pressure for the release of 15 British sailors and marines detained by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards (IRG) last Friday. In an already tense situation in the Persian Gulf, US aircraft carrier battle groups have held a major military exercise over the past two days, while British ministers in London called for Iran to be further diplomatically isolated.Oxfordshire Faslane blockade pics

G8 UK NGO Campaign 'Your Voice Against Poverty' (london demo june 2nd)
29-03-2007 08:20
After the Make Poverty History 2005 Scotland G8 campaign the uk NGOs are calling on people to protest in london on June 2nd ahead of the G8 summit in Germany.
http://www.yourvoiceagainstpoverty.org.uk Meanwhile in Germany planning continues for massive protests and blockades of the summit. German NGOs have challenged the G8 on having done too little to meet the promises they made on poverty alleviation at the Gleneagles summit in 2005. This year's G8 falls mid-way in the period for the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals and it's clear that countries are also a long way off from achieving these goals.
