Various people within Notts Indymedia work from time to time on video projects. To get involved with making video, please come along to a meeting. You can also check out the video group documentation.

• G8 in Sheffield (15 min. - mpg 145.2M)- This is a edit of a film put together by IMC Nottingham since the G8 demonstrations in Sheffield between the 11th - 17th of June 2005. The G8 was holding a ministers meeting in the city in the run up to the G8 summit in Edinburgh later that year.
  
  
• Recycling Art and Banner making (avi 2.8M) - Attended a session on Recycling, Art and Banner making at the Sumac Centre. It was shown that with a little creativity, it is possible to put alsorts of material, that most would normally discarded, applied to other use.
  
  
• Spray Art at the ASBO (avi 2.5M) - Saturday afternoon saw the first stage, of layout and 'sketch-in', of an illustation on the walls of the ASBO Centre at 35 Burns Street, Nottingham.
  
  
• Critical Mass February's 'Bike About' (avi 3.5M) - Slide-show, made from the full set of piccys, taken on the Critical Mass Bike About, through Nottingham on Friday 24th Feb.
  
  
• Critical Mass : A collection of piccys (avi 7.1M) - Slide-show, made from a selection of piccys, taken on the Critical Mass Bike About, through Nottingham during 2005 - 6.
  
  
• Drums of Peace (mp4 6.6M) - Short film about 'Drums of Peace', a celebration of cultural diversity, taking place at Nottingham University Feb 06, and featured music and food from around the world. The two Drums of Peace events have raised over £1000 for survivors of the Pakistan earthquake.
  
  
• Nottingham Against Incineration and Landfill [NAIL] story so far (avi 9M) - As a summary of some of the story so far, I thought I would show a 'slide-show' video, displaying some of the events, the campaign has been involved with
  
  
• The NAIL Film (10 min. various formats) - Short film about NAIL, a local Nottingham group campaigning against the expansion of Eastcroft incinerator and for better recycling facilities. The film hopes to inspire and empower people to join the campaign.
  
  
• Squatting 'Slide Show' (15.3Mb 3:40min - video/x-ms-wmv) - A Squatting 'Slide Show' [to a show tune :-)] This is a 'slide show, prepared to show you some recent squatting activity in the Radford area of Nottingham. "All I want is a room somewhere, far away from the cold night air, with one enourmous chair. Oh, wouldn't it be loverley ........".
  
  
• ASBO Squat 360 Panorama (video/quicktime 3.6M) - 360 degree panoramic vista, around the ASBO Community Squat in Burns Street, Radford.
  
  
• Nottinghamshire Indymedia: Activities 'Slide-Show' Video (29Mb 17:30min - video/x-ms-wmv) - A Squatting 'Slide Show' Video for perfomance at the Demo - Indymedia & Alternative Media Benefit night at Blueprint Club, here in Nottingham..
  
  
• A Rossport solidarity video (video/x-ms-wmv 24M) - A short video in support of the people of Mayo who are struggling against Shell's destruction of their environment.
  
  
• A Simple Building Occupation A four minute documentary about the ASBO community space. The short film is about squatters in Nottingham creating a community centre from a disused house.
  
  
• Sharphill Woods Protest :: A Video (video/x-ms-AVI 17.3M) - At the begining of last summer, local folks organised to protest against the proposed Sharphill housing development on fields south of West Bridgford. They won. [Well done guys].
  
  
• Amnesty Protest in Nottingham City Centre - Close Guantanamo Bay [Please] : A 'Slideshow' Guantanamo Bay [352x288].avi - - video/x-msvideo 19M - The University of Nottingham's Amnesty International Society's held a protest against the continuing human rights abuses at Guantanamo Bay. On Saturday the 10th of March folks protested against the continuing human rights abuses at Guantanamo Bay. It is now over five years since the first detainees were transferred to the detention camp and despite widespread international condemnation, hundreds of people from more than 30 nationalities remain there: without charge and with little hope of obtaining a fair trial. Enough is enough! Guantánamo Bay is a symbol of injustice and abuse. It must be closed down. [Well done guys].
  
  
• Nottingham Against Incineration and Landfill [NAIL]: A Video Video by George's Brother - video/mpeg 90M - Nottingham Against Incineration and Landfill [NAIL].
  This is a national issue, affecting many people and their communities.

  There has been a large campaign, with much support over recent times. A planning application to extend the operation of the Eastcroft Incinerator in Nottingham was denied. WRG, the operators of the plant, appealed. This process has now been stopped and a new application has been lodged. Now, folks have to go round again. This film explains the background and dangers..

• Climate activists glued to doors at East Midlands Airport: A slide-show Video

  On the afternoon of Saturday 16th June, climate campaigners glued themselves to the doors of the short-haul East Midlands airport to draw attention to the environmental impacts of flying as part of a European day of action on short-haul flights called by pressure group Airport Watch.

  Two men from climate action group, Plane Stupid, have caused disruption by supergluing themselves to the passenger entrances to the airport. Supporters are there handing out leaflets to airport customers encouraging them not to fly next time, and a banner carried by helium-filled balloons was also released in the departure lounge bearing the slogan ‘Let’s fry’.

  'The Community Artmakers' - Passin' through Hyson Green this afternoon, came across Richard [popx] just finishing a 100' piece on boards in front of the New Arts Exchange in Hyson Green [Gregory Boulevard]. Some local dignitaries acknowledged the completion of the work.
