Below is a worrying article about the increased activity of national front in Oxfordshire, that I found in this weeks oxford times. Yea I know not really an alternative news source, but it contains important information that I think people should be aware of.

National Front Plans Recruiting campaign

Far right group the national front plans to hold rallies across Oxfordshire in a bid to attract new members.
The move comes after the government announced it would press ahead with plans for an accommodation centre on the outskirts of Bicester.
James Starkey, of the National Front, who stood for election the May’s town and district elections, condemned the announcement as disgraceful. But he said the national front would gain new members on the back of it.
He said: “We have new members in Buckingham, Banbury, and the outskirts of Oxford.”
“We are planning to hold rallies in each town in Oxfordshire to get more support.”
He said at least four candidates have come forward to say they would stand at next years Cherwell District Council elections alongside Mr Starkey.
Douglas Spencer, a Conservative district councillor for Bicester West, said: “Mr Prescott’s decision proves what I said before that the planning enquiry was a sham.”
Commenting on the National Front, he said: “I have no doubt there is some credence in their claim they will increase their membership.”
“There is no doubt that the National Front intervention lost us a Bicester West seat in the Cherwell district elections last May.”
Members of the refugee support group also condemned the governments decision to push ahead with an accommodation centre.
Rebecca Mitchell-Farmer, of Bicester refugee support, said: “we are disappointed but not entirely surprised.”
“It is not the sort of place we think people with these needs should be placed. We would rather see people more integrated into the community”
But she added: “Bicester Refugee Support will be offering a welcome to asylum seekers in the area.”
“If the centre does go head we will be here providing practical and emotional support to asylum seekers and refugees.”
However, she said there were still legal and planning avenues that organisations opposing the centre could consider. For details about Bicester refugee support see  http://www.bicesterrefugeesuport.org.uk
