RESIST G8 // 3rd Southeast Assembly - April 3rd - Reading

The Resist G8 South East Regional Assembly is a co-ordination of groups and individuals opposed to the G8 and who are mobilising towards the G8 Summit in Gleneagles, Perthshire, Scotland in July 6th-8th.

This is an anti-authoritarian initiative and the assembly and co-ordination is being done without the need of formalised "steering committees" or by voting. These assemblies are used to co-ordinate activities across the South East of England, to announce initiatives and to discuss the political basis of what we are doing.

At the last gathering, held in February, there were 23 groups plus individuals from across the Southeast.

This assembly is being hosted by RAGE (Reading Anti-G8). We will send out a full agenda by the middle of this week, if anyone has any last minute additions to the agenda, please send them to us at reading-anti-g8(at)cyber-rights.net before midnight Monday.

Likewise any working groups who require feedback time, or others who wish to feedback or announce upcoming actions/events, please let us know before midnight Monday.

RAGE are able to offer accommodation for up to 12 people on a first come-first served basis, so if you would like accommodation please let us know asap. Its only floor space though, so please bring a sleeping bag!

There will be trains running from London Paddington at 12.00pm, 12.07pm and 12.30pm, all of which will get you to Reading in time. For info from other locations, please ring National Rail Services on 08457 484950.

Lastly, if people could donate a small amount to help cover the cost of the room (£30) it would be very much appreciated.
