Protesters condemn Nigerian support for mass deportations

A crowd gathered outside the Nigerian high commission in London on Wednesday to protest their assistance to the UK authorities in deporting Nigerians. The demo coincided with a mass removal flight to Nigeria on which over 40 women were removed, some with outstanding legal cases.

No Borders Demonstration in Haywards Heath, Sat 30 July

Croydon NoBorders is calling for a demo in Haywards Heath on Saturday 30th July to protest against a new detention centre for children and families which is due to open in late summer at nearby Pease Pottage.

Please join us on Saturday 30th July with banners, placards and instrument to call for an end to detention and deportation. Gather at Muster Green park in Haywards Heath at 1pm.

14 Juillet in Calais

Yesterday, Bastille Day, a banner was hung along the main parade route reading "The Bastille has fallen, but not Fortress Europe." And every evening Calais No Borders are holding feasts of free food and music for migrants and all-comers in an open space near the town hall.

Calais: three No Borders comrades acquitted

Yesterday three of Calais No Borders walked away free from the court in Boulogne, after the judge found no evidence against them on charges of "rebellion" and "illegal occupation" connected with resistance to a police raid on Africa House on 21 April.

Migrants and supporters demonstrate in Calais

On Saturday 28 May around 150 people took to the streets of Calais in a demonstration against the brutal repression against migrants in the French border town. Despite a heavy police presence and smatterings of rain the event went well: no arrests or cop attacks, just lots of emotion and energy.
