Thought it's worth posting to see if anyone else had the same experience or has a view on the leaglity of the searches. The Aldermaston Women’s Group brought a large banner bearing the words “Domestic Extremists At Work” which took pride of place over the railings of the Royal Courts of Justice. 10 Years of Afghan War: Guantánamo-related events to mark anniversary (London)
Friday 7th October marks the 10th anniversary of the start of the war in Afghanistan on 7th October 2001. Before there was Guantánamo, there were black sites and torture prisons in Afghanistan where such practices continue to be carried out today. Nearly all the prisoners held at Guantánamo had been "processed" and held at the prisons at the Bagram Air Base, Kandahar and the Dark Prison in Kabul before being taken to Guantánamo Bay.[Full Story ]
