A ramble round Daily Mail tax exile Lord Rothermere's Ferne Park in Wiltshire

A bull on a public footpath - that's illegal old boy Particularly annoyed by the Daily Mail's mean-spirited and skewed reporting of the criminalisation of squatters. That is fine and dandy Mr Rothermere when you are a £750m tac exile and have lots of places to live yourself. Having said all that your rag the Daily Mail has been the only UK media to report the mysterious death of Dr Richard Holmes so yes, free speech does mean the right for you to print what so many profoundly disagree with. The trouble is Paul Dacre cynically prints libelous stories about penniless young squatters when Associated Newspapers' lawyers know that they cannot afford to take you to court.

Syria: CIA-MI6 intel ops and sabotage

The Independent on Sunday, 5 February 2012 For anyone in two minds about what is really going on in Syria, and whether President Assad, hailed a decade ago as “A Modern Day Ataturk”, has become the latest megalomaniacal despot, to whose people a US-led posse of nations, must deliver “freedom”, with weapons of mass, home, people, nation and livelihood destruction, here is a salutary tale from modern history.

St Pauls used to be ACTUAL stock exchange...

Whilst reading a book on the english civil war recently, I found an interesting piece that explained the the st pauls cathedral was actually used as the stock exchange in the years immediately prior to the english civil war breaking out. the practice of using the cathedral for this capitalistic venture was eventually stopped by some body or other (cant recall his name) and then the war broke out. with the current protest happening outside st pauls, i believe this information to be very relevant today, especially as the bods that control st pauls now are trying to persist in stating that there actions against the camp are not politically motivated. also, below, is a quote about st pauls taken from wikipedia:

The Times, 9 September 2011 Unlike George Bush, who kept a low profile since leaving presidency in 2009, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair (1997-2007), the other war criminal-in-chief, is still at the forefront of war propaganda efforts.

We were a small affinity group of about eight, that wanted to take action against the DSEI 2003 arms fair but were unable to take an action together that involved lots of preparation, and the train action was ideal. It turned out to be straightforward, effective and VERY replicable.

Royal Wedding and Royal Censorship

The Guardian, 29 April 2011 An estimated 2 billion people watched the lavish wedding of Kate and William in London that cost the British economy $10 billion from a national day off work. We all wish the best for the happy couple. However the TV coverage permitted by the Royal Family involved massive censorship of the Australian ABC and indeed all other media. The Royal Family and the British Establishment survive through censorship, lies (of commission and omission) and slice (spin-based untruths) and this latest British censorship demands exposure of Britain’s horrendous past and continuing imperialist crimes.

Tata Noah chief of Indigenous communities

seeing the peaks My grandfather walked with a very long stick adorned with many allegories. Tata Noah told me long ago that it represented our true nation, which was all unknown, because many of those living in the village had given in to the viciousness of the white people and did not follow the customs of our fathers. That hurt my Tata, so when I arrived, he ever and ever told me many things and stories of our nation...

There's plenty of discussion on how we should lift African countries out of poverty and debt. Yet it's rarely asked what the root causes of Africa's staggering poverty, and what is the role of white Westerners in it?
