Activists protest against Virgin in Crawley
Anti-deportation campaigners today 'paid a visit' to Virgin Holidays, Richard Branson's Tour Operator business in Crawley town centre in protest at Virgin's involvement in forced deportations of rejected asylum seekers to unsafe countries. The Home Office regularly books seats on Virgin Atlantic flights to countries such as Nigeria to forcibly remove people from the UK. The action coincided with the Gatwick No Border Camp, a protest camp running between 20 and 23 September near Balcombe, West Sussex, as part of a campaign against a new immigration detention centre that is being built at Gatwick Airport.[Full Story | 2 additions | 1 comment ]

The Smash EDO camp held a noise demo at 8 o'clock this morning at EDO's Mouslecoomb site. The gate to the site was open so a few people decided to casually walk in.[Full Story ]

Sussex police have taken all the tents including the large marquee.
Someone locked onto the pole of the marquee confused around 50 police for a good hour. Eventually they had to lock-off because police were talking about dismantling the marquee, which would have been extremely dangerous for the locked-on protester.
There are reports that there are still people up in the trees on the site.

Activists Target Carmel Agrexco in Conjuction with Climate Camp
At 1pm, approximately 20 activists from London, Brighton, Reading and the nearby Climate Camp entered the Carmel Agrexco site in Hayes Middlesex where some activists have D-locked the gates shut. Activist targetted in latest arrest at EDO MBM
At a peaceful demonstration against Brighton arms company EDO MBM yesterday a protester was arrested and a sound system seized in the latest show of force by Sussex police. Police used an obscure council bylaw which has never been used in a prosecution to confiscate the equipment.
