Explosions on poorly maintained tube takes hopeless private company by surprise

scourer | 07.07.2005 09:27 | Analysis | Technology | London

London Underground were this morning unable to give any better explanation of the explosions at 5 tube stations than that it had "something to do witht he power supply".

Commuters were scared and some were injured in the expllosions that have so far been traced to "power surges". The company operating the underground service had apparently no idea that there was any danger of explosions on their lines. More information as it comes to hand.
