UKCMRI [Camden Bio Lab] Community & Residents Consultations in March 2010
There are plans to build what is describes as a high level [3] biocontainment facility and animal testing lab in Camden on a council houses estate, alongside St Pancras International behind the British Library. The Evening Standard has said that MI5 have opposed the plans and the lab is opposed locally by councillors, businesses, residents and MPs. There will be community meetings in March.[Full Story ]

Animal Protection Party shops thrive in spite of police clampdown on SHAC stalls
The Animal Protection Party have opened another shop, which they say have "gone from strenght to strength" in spite of the massive police clampdown on fundraising stalls for AR groups like SHAC. After the police raids on SHAC they claimed that SHAC had raised £1 million through street stalls & closed down the SHAC [which they said were ALF] stalls. Camden Animal Lab campaign residents "We are up against heavies".
There are plans to build a high level [3+] virus contianment facility and animal testing lab on a Camden Council house estate alongside St Pancras International behind the British Library. Residents have been campaigning against the lab plans. This should be opposed with a National campaign. We want to know what is being done to stop this animal lab science park. Is anything being done? We are aware that Brendan co ordinates UK Animal Rights / ARC. What will be done?

Call out to Brendan / London Animal Rights and Bedford Animal Rights.
In October 2009 plans were unvelied by the government, Glaxo Smith Kline, Wellcome Trust and Stevenage council for a new Stevenage Bio Sciences Park. This will of course contain new animal testing labs. The plans wee unvieled in October and have been met with SILENCE. UKCMRI to use £300 million of public funds for Camden Bio Lab
Plans to build the World's largest ever Bio Lab including the World Flu Centre alongside St Panrcas International behind the British Library will cost the UK £300 million from public funds. Already the govt and the MRC have argued over this. A parliamentary report says of funding the lab : "We are at a loss to understand the rationale behind this behaviour" and "It is hardly redolent of good faith".[Full Story | 12 comments ]

Big Pharma security thug threats to kill gay AR activist with crack cocaine.
A thug working for a private security firm on behalf of a pharmaceutical company have threatened to kill animal rights activists with crack cocaine & make it "look like suicide". The homophobic thugs have said they will rape & kill the man his family members with crack & a noose. Adrian Radford. A hoax, diversion and paid by Cancer Research UK?
The farce that is the "Adrian Radford" story. Adrian Radford claimed that he infiltrated SHAC who he describes as the ALF. He runs a "surveillance instruction" outfit and claims that he was working for MI6 [SIS]. He came out publicly and claimed that he was "responsible" for the info given to police about SHAC [leaving the real moles to carry on]. Currently Huntingdon Life Sciences near Cambridge is the third largest such European lab & the two labs could be in direct "competition" with each other say campaigners.

UKCMRI ignore letters from residents & councillors about Camden germ lab
Residents from Camden and Kings Cross have had letters & emails utterly ignored by the UKCMRI. Worryingly they have said that "those who signed up" at last weeks poorly advertised meeing would get the chance to oppose planning permision on reciept of a letter from UKCMRI. Photos from the film appeared on the front page to warn residents of the danger posed by the level 3+ Bio Chemical Laboratory. At a public formal meeting to "consult us" we were lied to by the UKCMRI who claimed to send letters they did not sent out.

UKCMRI tonight displayed pic of Peter Pan and treated Camden with contempt.
Tonight's "last chance" formal public meeting & "consultation" at St Mary & St Pancras Primary School hosted by the UKCMRI saw Camden fuming & asking the UKCMRI not to patronise residents. Bizarrely a photo of Peter Pan was displayed while the speakers on stage studiously ignored "difficult" questions & residents. Dr Gisell Bulla stood in Federal Elections in Germany 1998. The German Animal Protection Party have no links to the UK Animal Protection Party created in late 2006. The Animals Count Party in Holland were created in 2004 when Jasmin De Boo stood.

Activists sent details of child & threatening letters from government/MI5/DWP
An activist with a child was sent strange letters from the Department of Work & Pensions detailing his child benefit & details of his parents pension. He was then telephoned with the warning "We know everything about you & if we want we can get your parents pension money interfered with at any time". The activist said the person phoning was a woman & that she had " an Australian or New Zealand accent. What's scary is that he did not any time given the DWP his mobile phone number.[Full Story | 20 comments ]
