Rock wool, whilst sold as an eco-friendly product, is a dirty thing to make. In the USA, Erin Brokovich is investigating claims that a now-closed Rockwool Group factory is responsible for the high rate of cancer locally. Meanwhile, the residents of the municipality of Pican, Croatia are protesting against a new factory which was built illegally. The factory regularly floods the valley with thick smoke. Saturday 10th January saw another evening of demonstrations in solidarity with the people of Gaza outside the Israeli embassy, High Street Kensington, London.
This time the police came out in very large numbers, with shields etc, and there were some pretty violent scenes... yet again.

BBC1 ITN Unison -Contact UNISON to support workers affected by Super Virus Lab
Workers at Camden Council services have not been told of the plans to build a deadly "Super Virus Lab" on their doorstep. there are plans to build a deadly virus containment facility across the raod from Camden Town Hall. The lab will test on animals. Members of Stop Camden Animal Lab went into the Camden Council Library and offices to hear that staff did not even KNOW about the lab & protests.[Full Story ]

People came from far and near came, to hold their candles and share the cold and the sadness for others further away where electricity, water. food and ordinary daily needs are not being met because of savage oppression, killing, maimings and bombing.
Hanthala turned up, I reflect he was saddened and if you could have seen his face there were tears of blood - yet he held a bright candle with us - he holds a candle even now whilst many of us sleep he holds it high - hope happens in community never alone, alone we despair.

Gun and Quarantine Fears over Camden "Super Virus Lab" - Army letters
There are plans to build a "Super Virus Lab" in Camden. This has been opposed by locals, councillors, MPs, MI5 etc on safety grounds. In the event of virus leak, as happened at government facility Pirbright there is the very real chance that the soldiers at Regents Park Barracks would have to either evacuate or quarntine the area. SHAC campaign against HLS continues despite the convictions says the Guardian
Today's Guardian reveals that the campaign against HLS continues regardless of the trial & convictions of Heather, Dan & Dan, Gavin, Gregg and Natatsha and Gerrah. Gun fears over Camden "Super Virus Lab"
The Camden Gazette reported this week that a sniper from a council estate in Camden shot out the windows of an office block belonging to the Guardian newspaper, leaving massive holes in the windows. This week a police machine gun was accidentally sent to a granny. Armed police were found guilty of shooting innocent Brazilizn Jean Charles De Menezes. Camden Councillor speaks out against deadly Camden Bio Lab

Two protesters are sitting in trees in ancient Dorset woodland to try to stop clearance work taking place ahead of the building of a new £84m relief road.
Work to clear part of Two Mile Coppice restarted on Thursday after a legal bid by the Woodland Trust temporarily suspended work on Tuesday.

Pandemic & Safety fears for superlab and a word about Bird Flu
We are London residents fighting against the proposed "Superlab" and a second lab planned for Camden. Both will test on animals. The superlab will allegedly be a level 3 lab meaning that it will hold deadly diseases such as Bird Flu. Any virus leak would be catastrophic for London, the UK and Europe as the lab will be alongside St Pancras Eurostar. There has been a mutated flu pandemic before....[Full Story | 1 comment ]

British Library "Taking Liberties" exhibition embarassment & "Superlab" demo
As seen on ITNThe British Library are currently holding an exhibition called "Taking Liberties, The Struggle For Britian's Freedom's and Rights" stating that "In some countries you wouldn't have the right to visit an exhibition about your rights".
