UKCMRI [Camden Bio Lab] Community & Residents Consultations in March 2010
There are plans to build what is describes as a high level [3] biocontainment facility and animal testing lab in Camden on a council houses estate, alongside St Pancras International behind the British Library. The Evening Standard has said that MI5 have opposed the plans and the lab is opposed locally by councillors, businesses, residents and MPs. There will be community meetings in March.[Full Story ]
Camp Bling back up and awaiting chainsaws
After years of patient occupation and apparent victory, Southend activists have had to reoccupy land to prevent the councils new road building scheme. Evictions are expected imminently and crew are urgently needed.[Full Story ]
Glaxo Child Killers to open labs in Stevenage Science Park
Glaxo Smith Kline have been caught experimenting on Black and Hispanic children in the U.S.A. Pfizer were caught experimenting on children in Nigeria, Africa. This has gone alarmingly unpublicised. For years people have campaigned to stop animal experimentation while these Nazi crimes against children have gone relatively unchallenged. Clusters of new labs are being built in the UK. The question is are they experimenting on orphans etc here in the UK behind closed doors?[Full Story | 8 comments ]

Lydd airport-Romney Marsh) planning decision March 3
Notice of the full council meeting (Shepway District) to determine whether Lydd Airport on Romney Marsh should be given the go ahead to expand. The last survey showed public 3 to 1 against this which appears to have remained fairly solid. However SDC may go for the 'jobs' argument. If they pass it, despite officers objections, it will have to be pushed to a Public Inquiry. (Airport may appeal if SDC reject it-again to a PI)

UKCMRI to use £300 million of public funds for Camden Bio Lab
Plans to build the World's largest ever Bio Lab including the World Flu Centre alongside St Panrcas International behind the British Library will cost the UK £300 million from public funds. Already the govt and the MRC have argued over this. A parliamentary report says of funding the lab : "We are at a loss to understand the rationale behind this behaviour" and "It is hardly redolent of good faith".[Full Story | 12 comments ]

Adrian Radford. A hoax, diversion and paid by Cancer Research UK?
The farce that is the "Adrian Radford" story. Adrian Radford claimed that he infiltrated SHAC who he describes as the ALF. He runs a "surveillance instruction" outfit and claims that he was working for MI6 [SIS]. He came out publicly and claimed that he was "responsible" for the info given to police about SHAC [leaving the real moles to carry on]. We think his real employer was Cancer Research UK.[Full Story | 14 comments ]

UKCMRI ignore letters from residents & councillors about Camden germ lab
Residents from Camden and Kings Cross have had letters & emails utterly ignored by the UKCMRI. Worryingly they have said that "those who signed up" at last weeks poorly advertised meeing would get the chance to oppose planning permision on reciept of a letter from UKCMRI. The UKCMRI have so far ignored all communication from residents. None of our questions have been answered.[Full Story | 1 comment ]

UKCMRI tonight displayed pic of Peter Pan and treated Camden with contempt.
Tonight's "last chance" formal public meeting & "consultation" at St Mary & St Pancras Primary School hosted by the UKCMRI saw Camden fuming & asking the UKCMRI not to patronise residents. Bizarrely a photo of Peter Pan was displayed while the speakers on stage studiously ignored "difficult" questions & residents. Safety, animal rights and community questions were dismissed & people ignored.[Full Story | 7 comments ]
