A Way Forward
With recent events around the globe signalling yet another kick in the gonads for capitalism (ash clouds, angry greek youths and activists, including dead workers, new york bomb attempt and millions of people marching for mayday), I felt compelled to knock up a little article for the 'movements' apetite for conversation and debate about 'where the fuck is the revolution?'[Full Story | 2 comments ]
An employee of the burnt bank speaks out on tonight’s tragic deaths in Athens
Tonight’s tragic deaths in Athens leave little space for comments – we are all very shocked and deeply saddened by the events. To those (on the “Occupied London” blog even) who speculate that the deaths might have been caused purposefully by anarchists, we can only reply the following: we do not take to the streets, we do not risk our freedom and our lives confronting the greek police in order to kill other people. Anarchists are not murderers, and no brainwashing attempted by Greek PM Papandreou, the national or the international media should convince anyone otherwise. That being said, and with developments still running frantically, we want to publish a rough translation of a statement by an employee of Marfin Bank – the bank whose branch was set alight in Athens today, where the three employees found a tragic death.
Read the letter, translate it, spread it around to your networks; grassroots counter-information has a crucial role to play at a moment when the greek state and corporate media are leashing out on the anarchist movement over here in Greece.

Election Meltdown
Election Meltdown is gearing up for action in this sham election. The politicians for sale at Westminster have no plans for our future. We need to take it into our hands.
We don't see any choice on offer except between bankers, bankers and more bankers, between capitalism, capitalism and more capitalism. We demand an equal and accountable voice for all, but we don't see any prospect of democratic representation by politicians who are in the pockets of corporate vested interests.
Right now we live under a dictatorship of the rich, a tiny minority hogging the world’s resources, who make all the decisions about the planet and our future to satisfy their greed. It’s time for democracy to dictate back to the rich!
So all of us who are fed up and disgusted, cry
DEATH TO THE ELECTION!
Vote for a hung parliament!
Let's blow one big raspberry at the whole election charade on Mayday, taking over Parliament Square for a popular carnival on Saturday May 1st.
The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse will be galloping back from four corners, dragging the carcasses of the four politicans chosen by the people to be hanged!
Then we will plant the People's Tree where a People's Assembly will camp and convene throughout the sham election period.

Profiting From the Occupation: An Open Letter to Fyffes
The Christmas period is one of the busiest times of the year for date importers. Tonnes of dates are imported into the UK from illegal Israeli agricultural settlements on Palestinian land. Campaigners have been focusing on Israeli companies, such as Carmel Agrexco, importing these dates into the UK but little is known about Fyffes, a transnational company that has also sourced dates from Israeli settlements.[Full Story ]
