http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2006/11/355955.html
Kebele social centre in Easton, Bristol, remains (sadly) the only permanent radical volunteer run such centre in Bristol – that means no bosses and no paid staff. As we look forwards to the 11th anniversary of the founding of Kebele, we hope that readers & activists will go out and set up their own radical centre, in their part of town. Bristol needs not one, but many, long-term radical social centres, if we are to truly build an alternative to the dominance of the capitalist consumer culture and its destructive nature. <br/><br/>To celebrate our 11 years of dogged, often creative, activity and resistance, we’ve having a party – on 8 December. It’ll be a late one, with bands, dj’s, PA’s, cabaret, café. Full details to follow shortly. <br/>2006-11-14T00:03+02:002006-11-14T00:03:00+00:00CultureFree SpacesPromotedUKWest CountryWorldKebeleianenTexttext/html; charset=UTF-8Protestors stop gas pipeline work

Bristol Indymedia now consistently gets nearly as many hits as the Evening Post's ‘This Is Bristol’ website! If you do a 'Bristol' on UK Google pages, Bristol Indymedia comes out at around 7th place, and jostles for position with the 'This Is Bristol' website on busier days.2006-11-09T10:48+02:002006-11-09T10:48:00+00:00PromotedUKWest CountryBristol Indymedia Editorial GroupenTexttext/html; charset=UTF-8Sign petition re closure of Gloucestershire mail centre
http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2006/11/355584.html
Royal Mail has recently announced the closure of Gloucestershire’s Mail Centre with plans to relocate the work 34 miles away to Swindon. This decision appears to have been taken with the minimum of consideration to the local community, businesses and and also, of the environmental impact of the extra distance involved in transporting mail out of, and back into Gloucester, via Swindon.2006-11-09T10:22+02:002006-11-09T10:22:00+00:00West CountryPhilip Booth, Gloucestershire Green partyenTexttext/html; charset=UTF-8GAGGED! #14 - South Wales Anarchist Newsletter
