One of the reasons Ramona came to the UK to do a speaking tour was to galvanise support for the MOVE 9 who have been unjustly held in American prisons since 1978. She also highlighted the case of incarcerated journalist and MOVE supporter Mumia Abu-Jamal who was also fitted-up for a crime he did not commit. Finally after 30 years in jail the MOVE 9 will be eligible for parole in August 2008, but they need our help!
The only way they will ever be released is if people like us, make the US authorities realise that the eyes of the world are on them. People may be skeptical about how much effect this will have, but remember Mumia Abu-Jamal would have been executed by now if people hadn't kept fighting his cause.
