Sounds on the Downs - Wind Turbine Set-up

V3 Power build small wind turbines commercially and run courses teaching people how to make their own turbines.

They put a couple up at the festival, to inspire folks to get involved with such alternatives.

The turbines they build are 2.4 metres in diameter and typically sit on top of a 10 metre guyed mast.

By running courses where people can learn how to build, install and maintain their own turbine they offer people and communities the chance to release themselves from reliance on the national grid while making a real difference to the climate change problem. So, get involved

Sounds on the Downs - June 6th, 2007
The Downs, University Park, Nottingham

The free green fields festival happened on Wednesday 6th June. It was an outdoor event involving information and campaign stalls, interactive environmental and social justice activities, locally sourced fairly traded bbq and café, non-alcoholic drinks, local music acts and performance arts, with the aim of allowing networking space for campaign groups and futher information for the public as well as just being a great day out on the campus!
