All those from Nottingham arrested at Faslane over Friday and Saturday were released on Saturday evening.
No direct action has been taken since news of events at Glasgow airport came through to the camp on Saturday. A decision was made by the camp as a whole to not make any attempt to block the gates of Faslane or neighbouring Coulport until Sunday at midnight. It was also decided to inform the two police forces in operation (Strathclyde and MOD) of this decision and inform them of any non-direct-action-type demos that were to take place during this period.
The logic of this assurance was to not provide a distraction to Strathclyde Police at a highly unusual time of worry for the local community.
'Business as usual' - which never stopped for the Trident nuclear weapons system, which presumably remained operational throughout - will resume for those at the camp in a few hours, approximately 28 hours after the assurance was initially given.
A final point of reflection is that a number of people here have spoken of memories of Stirling in 2005. The great thing about history repeating itself is that the second time round the situation is less painful. Relationships though have not surprisingly been put under strain.
