As you may know, Hicham Yezza was originally arrested at the University of Nottingham in May along with Rizwaan Sabir in a bogus 'terror operation'. The pair were then released without charge (or apology); Hich was swiftly re-arrested on 'immigration grouds' and held in detention for a further three weeks. Students, academics and politicians have made it clear that the maltreatment of Hicham was and continues to be an attempt to cover up "a dreadful cock-up".
The Home Office are continuing to waste tax-payers money persecuting an individual who has contributed greatlty to the Nottingham community and academic life; an individual who they should be actively trying to retain. The Free Hich campaign is continuing to oppose the senseless and oppressive behaviour of the Home Office and raise the necessary legal funds so that Hich can fight for justice. His plight unfortunately is far from over so please join us in our fight to give Hicham a chance to defend himself.

Based on the findings of the Peruvian Truth and Reconciliation Commission, State of Fear follows events in Peru, yet serves as a cautionary tale for any nation. Filmmakers Pamela Yates, Peter Kinoy, and Paco de Onis masterfully blend personal testimony, history and archival footage to tell the story of escalating violence in the Andean nation and how the fear of terror undermined their democracy, making Peru a virtual dictatorship where official corruption replaced the rule of law.
