This weekend (the 30th November to the 2nd December) sees the launch of The Student Climate Project, whose aim is to bring together existing student activists from across the UK to find ways to build a mass student anti-climate change movement.

The Student Climate Project's Launch Gathering is now just a few days away!
We've got the workshops all booked, crash space secured, vegan catering sorted, and a facilitation team put together who will help ensure the weekend's discussions and planning runs smoothly and leads to action!
All that is needed now is for you all to come!!!
For those of you unsure as to what The Student Climate Project is check out the website www.studentclimateproject.org.uk for full details. In short, the project has been set up with the realisation that Climate Change is the biggest issue facing humanity today. However, governments and corporations are still refusing to take the urgent and drastic action required to prevent climate catastrophe. Therefore we need a critical mass of people to rise up, and students must play a part in this.
While many students are already engaged in Climate Activism, the wider student body are not. Therefore the Student Climate Project has been set up with the specific purpose of bringing existing student activists together to find exciting ways to inspire the wider student body to become engaged with Climate Change, and driven to take action against it.
The Launch Gathering is the chance for students from all over the UK to come
together and plan for how we are going to make our aim happen! Whatever your
areas of interest, as long as you share the concern about the threat of climate change you are welcome to get involved!
The Launch Gathering is to held from the 30th November to the 2nd December at the East Oxford Community Centre (for more info about getting there go to www.studentclimateproject.org.uk/gathering.php). Because we are trying to secure crash space for all PLEASE LET US KNOW YOU ARE COMING OR EVEN BETTER LET US KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE COMING FROM YOUR UNIVERSITY by emailing
