The Harmony cafe at the PI will be open for two hours each Saturday morning. You care welcome to drop in for a cup of something, or discover the topic of the day. Each week we will attempt to give some insight into various topics and community interests. Also walks around the city can be organised. Starts this Saturday, and then from the 20th Nov.

TRADITIONAL MUSIC AND INSTRUMENTS 20 Nov.

This week we will have some traditional musicians on hand and a uilleann pipe maker to play a bit and explain and answer questions concerning music and the craft of building musical instruments.

One day in the old days when life was "simpler", a woman was fixing to do her laundry and she had just got her fire started under her big kettle to boil the wash water when she discovered she was out of soap. So she hollered for her seven year old boy and gave him some coins and sent him to the store in town to get some soap...

BELLY DANCING 11 Dec.

In Egypt (and many other countries), "Oriental Dance" (the correct name for this dance form) is a social dance that people do for the fun of it at family celebrations such as weddings. Have a Turkish coffee with this one. Women only event (intro and demo)
