Yesterday Shell started work on the final section of their gas pipeline in Co. Mayo Ireland. The Community have already fought back with 4 actions and are asking for people to come up this weekend to help them.

This morning Shell began to restart work on their highly controversial on-shore pipeline at Aughoose in Erris Co. Mayo Ireland.

This morning 5 members of the Rossport solidarity camp blockaded Shell Oil from accessing thier proposed compound in Glengad Co.Mayo.

6 members of the Rossport Solidarity Camp attempted to stop Shell work on the proposed site for the Glengad compound today.

In the past two days members of the Rossport Solidarity Camp have stopped Shell carrying out their Survey Work. The actions were successful. There have been no arrests.

This morning 6 people got in the way of Shell's survey work causing them to pack up and go away.

Today, 12 people from the Rossport Solidarity Camp walked onto the land where Shell intend to build their compound to disrupt survey work. No one was arrested.

On Thursday 20th January An Bord Pleanala announced their decision to
approve the Shell high pressure raw gas pipeline. The decision shows the
farce of project splitting, which forces authorities to pass small dangerous
sections of projects as the rest of the expensive project has already been
built. This is the last chance to resist the plan by the Irish Government,
state bodies and Shell to force their will on communities and on the country
as a whole, regardless of proper process, economic sense, people’s safety,
environmental laws and human rights. Whilst the people of Ireland are being
crippled by the cuts in public services and forced in to huge EU and IMF
debt, the great gas giveaway is the elephant in the room that could be our
solution. The unjust deal can be renegotiated as we have successfully seen
in other countries. The people of Ireland should have a say in how we
sustainably manage our natural resources. The struggle against Shell is a
struggle for everyone in Ireland. You can be part of it.

Good Morning, We have just heard that Shell oil have received permission to complete their raw gas pipeline in Co. Mayo Ireland.

This morning we heard that An Bord Pleanála (the Irish planning board) has granted Shell oil permission to finish their raw gas pipeline.

The power of bank and corporate money in Ireland, was on full display in the last year, particularly on budget day. With Irish citizen's cuts and taxes to finance a bailout of billions subsidizing fraudulent banks and their off-shore owners.

Please organise actions within your communities that will target Shell economically. The decision is expected to be annouced sometime between late December or early January, so be ready!

On Saturday the 16th, RPS Group's offices in Glasgow had its locks and signage destroyed by people who are outraged in their involvement with the Corrib Gas Pipeline in Co. Mayo Ireland and the Open Cast Coal mines of the Douglas Valley, south Lanarkshire, Scotland.
