West Midlands Climate Camp Meeting, Wed 30th May

wmclimatecamp | 26.05.2007 17:39 | Climate Camp 2007 | Climate Camp 2006 | Climate Chaos | Ecology | Birmingham

The last meeting was really well attended and felt very positive,
supportive and exciting. After the packed meeting the Climate Campers
decided to meet next Wednesday at the Spotted Dog, Alcester St, Digbeth at
7:30PM.

The last WM climate camp meeting welcomed new input and offered those
present the chance to digest the news of the camp's general location. It
was agreed at the last national gathering that the camp would be based
near Heathrow airport to highlight the stupidity of the plans for massive
airport expansion.

A wide range of thoughtful and felt responses were made, and then onto
practical work within sub groups.

There are about 11 weeks to go and there are lots of tasks to get involved
in such as promoting the camp at related events, fund raising, liaising
with local press, gathering useful equipment and generally spreading the
word and getting more people on board.

The next WM organising meeting will occur then on

WEDNESDAY
30th May at the Spotted Dog, Alcester St, Digbeth.

We are conscious that people reading this in the West Midlands who are not
able to attend may wish to be involved in organising the West Mids
neighbourhood. If this applies to you, please get in touch via the email
