Disgraceful

I can not believe that this has happened. Utterly disgusting.

My thoughts are with the Rahimis.

Can we have some background?

Hi SiafuSoldier

Best of luck in your demo. I am not sure if this story has been covered well elsewhere, so perhaps when you have more time (after your protest) could you give Indymedia readers some background? This would definitely be of interest to similarly aligned groups.

Demo Cancelled

19.06.2008 18:55

The Demo was cancelled at the last minute as there has been some progress from the solicitor and it was felt to be inappropriate, I only got a text this afternoon informing me about the demo, I will see what background info I can find out

Peace

Solidarity with refugees

That's awful. I can only suggest that a good way forward is to publicise it as much as possible (though I am sure ARC is already doing so). Is this getting into the MSM at all? I hate to suggest we should in any way be reliant on them but if grassroots action can generate some noise in the "liberal" papers it would really help.

Is anything do you know being do to help Ms Yousefi press charges against her assailants? That would be an excellent solidarity move also, I should think.
