Vegan/Veggie BBQ on 31st Aug for Transition City Bham

The 'Transition Town' movement has grown out of a concept first developed by Rob Hopkinson in Totnes, Devon into a phenomenon that is spreading around the world. It's a positive community response to dealing with the twin threats of climate change and peak oil.

Transition City Birmingham is now underway and although in it's infancy, the group (of which there are several BVV members) is holding a fundraising vegan BBQ on Sunday 31 August at Martineau Gardens from 12:30 - 3:30pm.

At the event, as well as vegan (plant-based) food, there will also be several information stalls from like-minded organisations and some live music to lift the mood!
If you think you can come, then call 0121 353 2442 so we can get an idea of the numbers for catering.

Martineau Gardens is located at 27 Priory Road, Edgbaston B5 7UG (just off the Bristol Road and opposite The Priory Hospital).
