Reel News are coming to Birmingham as part of their UK tour on 11th December.

They will be screening shorts from their new Argentina special featuring the re-release of "Argentina in Revolt" - showing an uprising getting rid of 4 presidents in response to a banking system collapsing! The new edition also features 3 films on the recovered factories movement, one each on Brukman, Zanon and Hotel Bauen (occupations and workers control are still going strong), and the tube workers successful fight for a 6 hour day on the same wages and conditions as the previous 8 hour day, which created more jobs at the same time - all useful ideas for the current recession!

They also plan to play films from reel news issue16 which will have films on the legacy of the black panthers and the struggle to free those panthers who are still being held in solitary confinement, the bus driver strike in london and the march on the bank of england amongst others.

There will be DJs and poetry too.

More details will be confirmed soon. :0)
