The Rise of A Racist Football Fan Army - Smash the EDL

Harold Hamlet | 12.09.2009 04:42 | Anti-racism | Birmingham | World

Football fans are being recruited to stir up trouble against Muslims. They are being recrutied to an organisation known as the English Defence Leauge (EDL) accordind to reports in the Guardian [1].

The EDL have organised protest in British cities, in which they have fought against Asian youth alongside known rascists, and far-right activists. The rise of the EDL has been fast, and seems to be being organised as a kind of army that you need for a war, accordong to the Guardian [1]

There are plans for Rallies in Manchester, and Leeds this weekend by the EDL, and also one in Trafalger Square.

Tthey appear to be using sophisticated methods to rapidly build their organisation, which, at this stage, is said to be fragmented and disorganised.

Asian youth came out on the streets of Britain in the 70´s and 80´`s to get he National Front, the then leading and prominent British Fascist party, off the streets. They suceeded with a little help from left wing friends. It seems they may need a little help from their political friends again.

The BNP have now replaced the NF, but how close the EDL and BNP are remains to be seen. The NF organised strongly in football fan groups, which was countered by anti-racist groups of football fans challenging, sometimes violently, racists.

Are the BNP trying out old tactics used before by the NF again, but keeping the EDL at arms length?

Islamic terrorism is the biggest threat that Britain faces!

12.09.2009 08:28

The biggest threat to this country comes from Islamic terrorism. All the English Defence League is trying to do is to defend this country from terrorism.

Smash terrorism

EDL against terrorism.

12.09.2009 09:04

Yes! If anything is going to stop Islamic terrorism it's gonna be a group of working class white men standing outside the local TK Maxx singing Rule Britannia.

Oh really

12.09.2009 09:20

The biggest threat this country faces is from fascist false flag operations pretending to be Islamic Terrorists. Have you not heard Al Qaida has collapsed.

Round up a bunch of apolitical thugs and manipulate them to create a state of tension - did Nick Griffin learn that from Fiore? Are we going to be murdered by false flag atrocities?

Get real the EDL is a Griffin side project financed by Eurotrough Millions.

Are going to get their arses kicked because all sensible people in this country know who the real terrorists are... and why they are using dumbells like you as agent provocateurs.

Nick Griffin is a known MI5 snitch - Never trust a man with squeaky shoes!

See you on the streets!

' English Defence League: Future Demonstrations 2009

* 13th September 2009: London
The Home Office bent over backwards to ban us from Luton, yet Hezbollah, a Muslim Terrorist Organisation's supporters are due to march through London this coming Sunday. I wonder if we have missed the Al-Qaida March? We urge everybody who can to come to London to oppose this. We will be meeting around Trafalgar square. More to follow.

* 19th September 2009: Luton
March against the ever growing population of Islamic Extremists, and the home of some of the most un-savoury Al-Qaeda supporters in the UK. This Demonstration has been Banned by the home office, and has subsequently been cancelled.

* 10th October 2009: Manchester City Centre

* 31st October 2009: Leeds City Centre 1.00pm

* More dates are being arranged for protests. '

If you feel that the biggest threat that britain faces today is from islamic terrorism, you should look at it in the context of the genocidal wars waged by britain in the middle east for generations. Take a look at the front page of todays gardian for example of the extremist terrorism waged by britain on muslims recently. Can we really be surprised at the occasional paramilitary response to british aggression.

Right wing skin heads are not clever enough to make this simple connection.

We should look very carefully at the BBC reporting of these events on the streets. Today I noticed the excuse being suggested that the skinheads were not against islam per se, but just 'extremism', which is the official excuse for the whole 'war on terror' aka 'war of terror'.

UAF have made a mistake

12.09.2009 22:56

The thing is that the UAF have made a knee-jerk reaction, and made a mistake because they do not understand the situation.

The EDL do not fit in to their pigeon-hole politics.

Check out the truth - the EDL are not racist, they have some Black members, and have previously carried banners that say 'Black and White Unite' and 'NF go to hell'.

That you are a disinfo agent for the BNP?

That the "English 'Defence' League" are anything more than stooges for the BNP?

Why were they gathered outside a peaceful mosque?

To wish them a happy Ramadan?

Or was this a pathetic attempt to intimidate the local muslims?

Did they provoke a much more aggressive reaction than they expected?

Is that why they ended up hiding like women in local pubs?

Are these the same 'English Heroes' that take pride in beating elderly Asian men to death?

Do you think we are all stupid?

Quite right, there are many courageous women in this world and I had not intention of casting aspersions on them in any way. Shall watch me words in future.

Thank you for pulling me on that... am still learning new ways!

Work in progress. :-)

"Are these the same 'English Heroes' that take pride in beating elderly Asian men to death? "

Little John, if you refer to the murder of the man in tooting, it was a gang largely made up of young black men. If that matters or not.

Should the Church of England or the Methodists be called to account for the actions of the Lord's Resistance Army, Franco's Falange or the UFF? (All supposedly Christain terrorist organisations). This is no more barmy than EDL or SIOE harassing Barelwi mosques to oppose "Islamic extremism" and citing 9/11. The people who think blowing up ordinary punters on trains or planes is a good idea are from Salafist / Deobandi tendencies and they fucking HATE Barelwi (sometimes called "Sufi-Sunni") Islam. They're not even anything like a majority in Salafist / Deobandi circles. Their views on Sufism (and, by extension, Sufi influenced tendencies such as Barelwi) make the young Iain Paisley's excoriation of the Pope sound like sweet reasonableness.

Islam here predominantly follows the Barelwi traditions of Kashmir and Bangla Desh. There is only one link between this mainstream and the Salafists. Salafists target as recruits youngsters who have rejected their Barelwi backgrounds, often getting into petty crime and scag or crack. They claim to be "recalling" these kids to their Muslim faith, but are actually substituting an altogether different, and seriously fucked up, set of beliefs.

The weakness of Barelwi in an urban society is its rural roots, based on the family and the village. There are signs of it adapting to its different context here, but EDL and SIOE know nothing about any of this and fuck all about Islam. Yes, they're racists, and pig ignorant ones to boot.

Tell you what, the Lords Resistance Army massacred a load of people last December and they kidnap children. Let's picket Canterbury Cathedral, break the windows, and beat up some Christians going to church, shall we?

P.S. I'm against ALL religion, particularly when it discriminates against women and gay and lesbian people. But it's worth understanding what you're against and appreciating whatever worthwhile aspects it has, as well the nasty bits. EDL, SIOE and other BNP fellow travellers, however, have NO worthwhile aspects. It's all shit.

Why don't you have 'BNP go to hell' banners then and why don't you kick out your BNP members!

Don't believe the media lies or that UAF claptrap. - the EDL does not and never has supported the BNP. I believe that the BNP feel the same way and have banned its members from joining the EDL,

Look behind the scenes and find out the truth, the EDL is not racist, not fascist - simply be categorised in that way because the UAF and others do not fully understand the situation.

Chris Renton, a BNP activist setup the EDL website and was involved heavily in promoting Casual United and EDL. There is evidence of this.

EDL and Casuals United are attempting to conflate Islam and Islam extremism as one of the same. Only fascists and racists would have an interest in pursuing such a goal.

The links between the BNP and the EDL are many - BNPmembers at EDL events, the Chris Renton link via the website, members of other far right groups at your events (like Wigan Shite) plus there are many members of websites like stormshite going to EDL events and they are all nazis/BNP/fascists. You only have to look at a couple of their pages to know this its bleedin' obvious so quit trying to insult our intelligence. If we were as thick as you seem to think we are we would all be BNP voters.

And lets just pretend for a moment that there are no links whatsoever between the BNP and the EDL you are still extreme nationalists and therefore the enemy of the working classes, and therefore you can still get fucked.

I hate the Fash
