Missing person alert: Ahmed Abdulrahan Mustafa

Dave Stamp | 05.11.2009 14:58 | Iraq | Migration | Birmingham

Appeal for help to find a vulnerable homeless man who has been missing for over 3 weeks.

I'm writing on behalf of a woman we are supporting, Mrs
Fatima Rahim, who is the mother of Ahmed Mustafa (DOB 12/5/68)

Mrs Rahim and Mr Musatafa are from Kirkuk in Iraq, and were accommodated
by the UK Border Agency in Stoke On Trent: their asylum claims were
refused earlier this year and they were to be evicted from their home in
Stoke at the beginning of this week. We have helped Mrs Rahim to find some
temporary support while a fresh asylum claim is considered by the UKBA.

Mrs Rahim tells me that she last saw her son at their home in Stoke on the
morning of October 11th, shortly after he was discharged from hospital. He
appeared extremely depressed and told her that he was sick and tired of
life in the UK. He has not been seen since then and has not made contact
with his mother. He does not have a telephone.

Understandably, Mrs Rahim is extrmely worried and desperate to know her
son's whereabouts. It would therefore be appreciated if news of Ahmed's
disapperance could be circulated within the Iraqi community, in the hope
that someone might be able to help Mrs Rahim to trace him.

Ahmed is 41 years old, with short light brown hair and hazel eyes. He is
approximately 170cm tall, medium build, of pale complexion and was clean
shaven when last seen.

Any help you could give to help Mrs Rahim to trace her son would be greatly
apreciated.

Yours sincerely,
