Dog fighting ring in Midlands UK prosecuted, imprisoned, named and shamed.

anon | 09.04.2010 03:24 | Animal Liberation | Birmingham

Claire Parker 43 of Kexby Lane, Kexby, Lincolnshire was found guilty of letting people use her garage for dog fighting, of possessing 3 dogs for fighting and using them for fighting, attending dog fights and breeding fighting dogs. Her cruel husband John Parker died while in prison on other charges. Mohammed Nasir Farooq 34 of Daniels Road, Bordersly Green, Birmingham was also prosecuted.

Claire Parker was banned for keeping animals for 10 years. She was fined 2,000 pounds in costs and was given 18 weeks in prison.

Mohammed Nasir Farooq was given 22 weeks for dog fighting and had treadmills for training fighting dogs of which he was also found guilty.

A youth who isn't named was also found guilty.

John Parker was also guilty of fighting dogs and died in prison while serving for other offences. Good riddance.

Claire Parker : Kexby Lane, Kexby, Lincolnshire.

Mohammed Nasir Farooq : Daniels Road, Bordersly Green, Birmingham.

The sentences given to these scum is hardly a deterrent. Perhaps the Justice Department would like to show this named guilty pair the error of their cruel ways properly.

AR twisted logic on humans vs animals

"bring back capital punishment" - yeah, cos a human being's life is worth less than a dog......

human

To human

Don't be stupid. We don't have Gladiator rings any more. Humans were made to kill each other and fight animals. Anyone who thinks it OK to make animals kill each other and breeds them to do it for their own fun deserves all they get.

I prefer dogs any day to this filth

I am opposed to the death penalty but to say that some filthy scumbag is more important than a dog is laughable. 18 weeks in prison is a joke, the fine is nothing compared to the money made out of dog fighting.
This is serious though, what do we do with people who go beyond the realms of criminality and into pure evil? Dog fighters, badger baiters, pimps (the sort who , nonces, people traffickers (the sort that maim children to beg and force people into slavery), CEO's of shitty companies such as Union Carbide all of whom violate their victims and often murder and rape on cold, calculated organised level none of them care about anything other than profit and their own miserable lives. Really I don't give a rats fart if one of them were to be killed in the course of protecting one of their victims, hardly a loss to the world. But the death penalty to me is just utterly abhorrent the cold torture of a living being waiting to be executed is just not right.
Dismantling their lives so that they cannot function in the way they do now( why should someone who has condemned thousands to torture and death enjoy themselves?), them being utterly reviled by everyone they meet, exclusion from society and ultimeately containing them so they cannot harm others are all non lethal methods of bringing them to heel. Sadly violence is sometimes necessary to prevent greater violence to the victims, dog fighters are not nice people dealing with them may require getting rid of the "non-violence" mantra which works OK in other situations.

Agreed with Lynn

I'd also like to say that I take offence to the title "AR twisted logic" as though the person stating that we should bring back capita punishment speaks for the AR movement and that it is "AR logic" that a no-human's life is worth more than a human's life.

Can we please stop generalising that all AR (or whatever) people feel the same way - that statament was ONE person's opinion. Maybe others agree, maybe some AR people agree, maybe some people who are not AR agree.

Stupid generalisation.
