Why just a week after the 24th? People aren't going to have time to prepare anything, and there is already anti cuts stuff around the country which this will take energy from. Then there's the day of action on the 4th which people need to plan for. It's good to try and build student resistance but the broader anti-cuts movement needs to be given some space and support.

I understand your concern and where you're coming from, but I think you'd be suprised at how quickly things are being organised. A lot of ad-hoc groups sprang up to plan the action on the 24th, and for them Tuesday is simply a continuation of it. Plus all those who didn't make it to events on the 24th will really want to organise for this day.

The 4th? What's happening on the 4th?

As far as I am aware, 4th December is a day of action called by UKUncut, so more focussed on tax-dodgers like Vodafone.
