Hardest Hit rally in Birmingham

Hardest Hit West Midlands | 21.10.2011 11:02 | Public sector cuts | Social Struggles | Birmingham

Time: Saturday 22 October · 12:00 - 15:00
Location: Victoria Square

Disabled people in the West Midlands, along with their families and friends, are taking to the streets in Birmingham to protest against Government cuts to disability benefits and services. Join us and help to make sure all our voices are heard.

The rally is taking place in Victoria Square, just outside Birmingham Town Hall, from 12.30, although we expect people will begin to assemble from 12 noon.

We will be joined by a number of local people who can speak from their own experiences about what the proposed cuts to benefits and services will mean to them as disabled people trying to live independent and fulfilling lives.

For details of how to get to Birmingham Town Hall and a downloadable map of the area go to  http://www.thsh.co.uk/page/planning-your-visit/. The page also contains transport links and general parking information. For details of blue badge parking click on the ‘Information for Disabled Visitors’ link part way down the page.
