Road building in Shropshire

Telford & Wrekin Council in Shropshire have just announced plans to build a link road from the M54 to the M6 northbound and the M6 Toll.

The excuse given for plans is the usual one of "improving business".

Roads Minister Mike Penning said the link road was being reviewed and potentially could begin after 2015.

Telford & Wrekin Council have not announced they're going to build the road. They've said they're campaigning for it to be built. Not the same thing at all.

Accuracy is important, wouldn't you say?

There's nothing inaccurate in the original statement, Telford & Wrekin Council have just announced their plans to build a link road, and clearly the last sentance makes it obvious that the plans have not yet been finalised

"Roads Minister Mike Penning said the link road was being reviewed and potentially could begin after 2015. "

This story was widely reported in local media in Shropshire so what makes you so sure the link you posted to is the source?

Would it by any chance have anything to do with the fact you work for BBC Radio Shropshire?

I object to you advertising your corporate media \ state media on this site.
