Birmingham Eviction Resistance Network meeting

Birmingham Eviction Resistance Network | 08.05.2012 16:31 | Policing | Public sector cuts | Birmingham

Birmingham Eviction Resistance Network is a group recently set up to support anyone being evicted from their home. We are having a public meeting on Sunday 13th May at 5.30pm in the British Oak, Stirchley B20 2XS

B.E.R.N. supports TENNANTS many of whom will not be able to afford rent with government changes to housing benefit; TRAVELLERS who are constantly being forced off unused land in Birmingham; and SQUATTERS who will soon be criminalised under the new law.

Rather than being intimidated into leaving quietly B.E.R.N. will give these people the confidence to stand their ground against the bailiffs and in doing so bring attention to the amount of people being forced out of their homes in Birmingham.

If you would like to be updated about actions and meetings please text join to 07591449325 and have a look at our website network23.org/bern
