Fundraising Benifit Gig for the Spanish Miners strike on Friday the 13th of July. Featuring The Ruby Kid "The Ruby Kid - leftfield hip-hop and spoken-word", Helen Bauer from HAT a London based comedy trio, Alice Swift and Richards Higgs. Plus others. Bring your own beer– Free after party till late. All proceeds to the Spanish Miners Solidarity Committee



Starts 8pm at the Pebble Mill Social Centre, on the Pershore Road just by Pebble Mill Road.

Performances from

The Ruby Kid - A hip-hop artist and spoken-word poet influenced by US indir rap (cf Aesop Rcok, Atmosphere, WHY?), revolutionare politics (cf Hal Draper, Rosa Luxembourg, Leon Trotsky), and his own self-indulgence and neuroses (cf Woody Allen). He is from Nottingham and Sheffield (with roots in New York) and now lives in London. www.therubykid.com

Helen Bauer - who if not having an off day, is one third of London based comedic trio HAT, likes sketches and stand-up, doesn't usually perform in squats.

Alice Swift - who is kindly taking a night off saving the planet and campaigning against tar sands to support the miners' fight!

Richard Higgs - making a special appearance from the University of Birmingham Footnotes Comedy Society.
