On Friday the 27th of August, action was taken against Ready-Mix Concrete's Leeds Offeces as part of a fortnight of action against marine quarrying in the channel.
On Friday night of the 27th of August, the Leeds offices of R.M.C. (Ready-Mix Concrete) were visited by anarchists responding to a call for a national fortnight of actions against the company for their part in the sub-aquatic quarrying of gravel beds (home to a rich diversity of marine beasts) in the channel. The Door to the office had its locks glued and the message 'No Marine Quarrying' was left scrawled across the front of the building in large red letters. The glueing of locks is an easy action to replicate and generally causes considerably more disruption than window smashing whilst drawing less attention to its perpetrators. All that is required is a tube of strong glue (like areldite) squirted into the lock. If the lock is large enough (like many mortis locks will be), you can be even more sure you have disabled it by inserting a matct-stick into the lock with the glue. Remember to wear gloves as glue can be difficult to remove from the skin and this could be incriminating if you are apprehended before having time scrub yourself. The fortnight of action lasts from wednesday the 25th of august until wednesday the 7th of september. RMC have offices all over the country.
