BNP morons hold 'national demo'.

On Wednesday the Fascist BNP called a national mobilization in support of their leader Nick Griffin and his rather embarrassing sidekick Mark Collett. Mark you may remember was the loser who allowed himself to be filmed saying all kinds of pro-Hitler shite by a BBC reporter. Both of them are up in court for incitement to racial hatred. There would have been a third defendant had former BNP leader John Tyndall not croaked in the month of July. This was a terrible shame as Tyndall was one of the more entertaining (not to mention incompetent) self-proclaimed neo-Nazi leaders.

Unite against Fascism and Yorkshire and Humber TUC called a counter demo outside the court.

It was the biggest BNP demo that I have seen, certainly more than the 37 fuckwits that picketed the NUJ a while ago. However the 350 claimed by the BNP is bollocks. It was half that size and outnumbered by the counter demo by more than four to one.

Griffin and Collett’s grand entrance was somewhat spoiled by them and their minders running for cover under a hail of flower and eggs as they reached the court. After this the day became an elongated slanging match between the two sides with the BNP demonstrating their political weaknesses on more than one occasion. Recently they have tried to reinvent themselves as some kind of libertarian free speech campaigners. A notion that looked steadily more ridiculous as they screamed that their opponents would all be banged up or deported when they came to power. A banner with a quote by George Orwell looked particularly daft when you consider that Orwell was an antifascist who fought Franco in the Spanish civil war.

The most amusing character served up by the master race was a man in a dog collar claiming to be some kind of clergyman. He entertained the waiting journos with some of the most bizarre semi religious political ranting ever heard. Whether he was a real priest or some nutter who has bought his qualifications and outfit off the internet was unclear. He refused to say what denomination if any he was of even where he preached. If he was for real he would not be the first so called Christian to wave a fascist flag.

At the end of the day Griffin emerged to crap on about his struggle for liberty to incite hate against minorities. Unfortunately for most he is in a win-win situation. If he is found not guilty he will be given a license to say what he likes about ethnic minorities and other religions. If he loses he will get the credibility and martyrdom he craves. I suppose he could end up sharing a cell with Abu Hamsa? That would be poetic justice…..

Er, no actually - I think the caped crusader in the Toyah Wilcox wig pretty well disproves this comment, and whatever your assessment of UAF, I can't spot any tie-dye-and-patchouli types there.

Seems like a fair enough reporting to me - the Orwell quote in particular is hilarious... a lot of people like to lay claim to Orwell, and he was bit of a shady character, but one thing he certainly wasn't was a right-wing populist charlatan.

Can't say I've got any time for UAF in terms of tactics (and the SWP connection), but the BNP contingent look like a circus sideshow in comparison. I just think its a shame the state made the mistake of prosecuting, because I agree that whatever happens, Griffin will be able to claw some political capital from the result.

Bit of overkill in terms of cops as well - weighing up both sides, I couldn't exactly imagine it turning into a ruck...

When i say i dont know much about the BNP i dont mean its beliefs i mean the actions its taken through the course of its history. I have BNP fuckng leaflets thrown under my door every month its a shame i dont have a fireplace to make good use of them. I know exactly what the BNP stands for even though im from greece studying in the UK i did research the political parties here during the elections. The BNP is just another product of capitalism. Racist scum recruiting disillusioned miseducated voters who need to blame some1 for their problems and instead of looking at capitalism as the root cause which affects ppl from all ethnic backgrounds and especially non whites, they listen to the garbage the BNP talks that its immigrants fault. The people moving their companies elsewhere, making crazy profits and not sharing the wealth amongst the people of this country, funding wars, raising tuition fees for students, and exploiting workers are not immigrants their white as British as you can get people and mainly capitalists. The movie, HMS Discovery, had little pee-wee Dickie reciting poetry while another male masturbated while Dickie (naked, of course,) stood in with prose in hand and another man rubbing his back.

But of course, it was her who passed to Searchlies the gay movie in question once it surfaced, and Searchlies gladly obliged by showing it and paying for Mrs Barnbrook to go to New York and attempt to find herself another gay husband.

Not really; it's nice to be able to make a comment about the childish behaviour of the UAF people, even if it'll only be on this website for a few minutes before some marxist idiot deletes it out of fear [or shame].

Amazing really; the marxists are scruffy, childish, the ground around them is strewn with litter and there's not a poppy in sight. But the BNP are wearing suits, selling & wearing poppies and singing patriotic songs. Incredible when the two sides are compared like that, no?

Bodge: you think I'm Mark Collett? Nice. Alas, no, I'm merely a lower level supporter who finds it incredible that an independent media site would comment on the leader of a perfectly legitimate party as being 'ugly'. That's just childish, in my view (but then again, so is being proud that the UAF people threw flour bombs whilst the BNP supporters stood by and watched peacefully).

LOH: how does it breach any guidelines? I’m not pretending to be anyone, neither was I pretending in my last two posts, which have been deleted.

I did enjoy the article and the pictures though, they've shown me exactly what we're up against - people who are extremely childish, unpatriotic, don't wear poppies, violent (two rows of police?), throw litter all over the floor around them and are just plain ignorant about the party.

Prolific criminal is BNP councillor's son Dec 15 2005

One of the most prolific criminals in the Midlands is the son of a British National Party councillor, it was revealed.

Teenage offender Ricky Lloyd, who has been committing crimes since he was 12, is in custody awaiting sentencing for attempted robbery.

It emerged yesterday that his father is James Lloyd, a BNP councillor for the Princes End ward in Tipton, Sandwell.

Mr Lloyd, the only BNP councillor in Sandwell, was elected to the local authority last year and lives in High Street, Princes End.

His 19-year-old son appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Tuesday when he pleaded guilty to attempted robbery. Sentence was adjourned to next month for reports.
