Hi to everyone.
This Demo cannot come soon enough,the last Demo i attended was the fight for Felix in Oxford and and that really hit me hard,as so many others that was my first Demo that i had ever attended so i took my husband and children along and we met so many fab people.
When the info came up that Felix had died at the hands of those SCUM it was really hard to take in,as i really did not understand the mentality of those so called Animal Testers.
But having read up so much about these so called Universities i now realise what everyone is up against.
They are nothing but a bunch of LIARS who do everything to cover their tracks,a lot like H.L.S. what they put those poor animals through is just horrific just to see if a test will work,and it does not.
H.L.S. have everything coming to them they will reap what they sow.
So many people are branding protesters terrorists which is very wrong,we speak out for the innocent for the ones who hurt and who cannot tell us how badly that hurt is.
The sooner this ShitHole is closed down the better.
The only real regret that i have is that i did not become more active in Demos and Protets a lot sooner,but i intend to make up for all of my lost time.

I challenge the veracity of this statement, knowing what I do about HLS profits and shares. but don't let a little knowledge get in the way of your self righteousness.

IF you ever succeed in closing down this place, you're dooming the animals to far harsher treatment at labs in other countries where such stringent regulations don't exist. it's those kind of labs that the SHAC idiots put photos of on their propaganda. the irony may be lost on them but it isn't on me.

Okay perhaps you can provide some evidence from your vast knowledge of finance as to why tax payers are not funding Huntingdon. A denial is not an argument, and it is certainly a misnomer to call it a challenge.

As for your name calling, let me refute your accusations one at a time.

Anti-science: I have a PhD in biological science and 33 peer reviewed publications. What are your science credentials?

Mis-informed: I have written several peer reviewed articles informing the public of the both the moral bankrupcy and shonky science associated with vivisection.

Idiot: I have not had it formally measured, but I would estimate my IQ to be at least 140, given that I am teaching university courses.

Of course I am not actually attending the protest at Huntingdon, but that is only because I live 20,000km away. I am certainly with them in spirit.

As for your assertion that the animals will only be made to suffer far worse if the lab is closed down, well those particular animals will be far better off. At the worst they will be painlessly put down, at best they will be put into loving homes. Other countries that have even lower standards than the UK (New Zealand for example) are looking at the UK and are VERY WORRIED. Simon Festing gave a talk at our Ministry of Animal Cruelty (aka Ministry of Agriculture) in 2005 warning NZ vivisectors about the effect the movement in the UK will be having in New Zealand. He was extremely worried, not only about the ALF, but also about more mainstream groups like BUAV. The AR movement in the UK is affecting investment in vivisection everywhere, and therefore is actually helping animals in other countries, not hurting them. If Oxford and Huntingdon close down, Ruakura and Massey will follow quite quickly.
