NEW RADICAL BOOKSHOP/social centre IN MANCHESTER!
Opening in 'mid November' , basement of 24 Lever St.
Radical literature, vegan food, library, meeting space - can these people succeed where Frontline eventually failed? They've got one thing right, by finding a space in the city centre
Military Families Against the War is a new organisation of people

directly affected by the war in Iraq.

Our relatives and loved ones are members of the British Armed Services.
We are opposed to the continuing involvement of UK soldiers in a war that is based on lies. We call on Tony Blair to withdraw our troops immediately.
The soldiers in Iraq and their families at home have the most at stake in this conflict. For some of us, our loved ones have been killed in Iraq.
Our brave men and women risk injury and death while our government continues an unjust war for political ends. We say quite simply this is wrong.”

The Boddingtons Brewery in Manchester is facing closure inspite of being very profitable and efficient. Closure will result in 50 job losses and the consumer will lose an historic local beer. When Interbrew acquired Whitbread’s brewing business in 2000 it told the world and the workforce that it was ‘The World’s Local Brewer’ devoted to local beers. Now in spite of commitments to its workforce at Boddingtons As a consumer you can influence this situation.

Ask your supermarket to tell Interbrew to keep the Boddington’s brewery open.
