The fact that a fair few people bother to turn up to support someone accused of Affray during the events of last Saturday show that they were not impressed at what happened.

taking a guilty plea is an admittion of guilt and is always a silly move.
whom ever was charged should of pleaded not guilty and challenged it.
from what was said the police did act unlawfully. if you are squating the police can not just come in and chuck you off. they have to have the owners permission to do so.
i agree with most of what rikki has said, but i think when it comes to criminal records they are not premanment. an offence will be on it for a number of years (about 7 or so), unless you take a caution, which again is an admission of guilt and are permament. NEVER TAKE A CAUTION! that being said i will check on the criminal record thing when i get chance.
