THIS WEEK'S CAREER DINNER: Science & Industry

THIS WEEK: WEEK 2, WEDNESDAY 5 May.
We've got British Aerospace (Ian Macdiarmid), coming to talk about careers in industry

Where and when? St Antony's College, Woodstock Road.
Dinner with the speaker: 7.00-7.30pm, St Antony's hall, Hilda Besse building. Meet outside the hall at 6.45pm. PLEASE NOTE: LIMITED PLACES. YOU MUST BOOK IN ADVANCE, SEE DETAILS BELOW.
Talk with wine: 7.30-9.00pm, St Antony's Buttery/Late Bar, ground floor, Hilda Besse Building.
Drinks: 9.00pm onwards: St Antony's Late Bar, Hilda Besse building.

THE TALKS AND DRINKS ARE OPEN TO ALL. JUST TURN UP, NO NEED TO BOOK.

DIRECTIONS: St Antony's is a graduate college on Woodstock Road, slightly further north of Green College, on the opposite of the road. It is an old convent building and resembles one. To find the dining hall in the Hilda Besse building, enter the college through the main entrance on Woodstock Road. Take the door to your left out into the college grounds.
The Hilda Besse building is a large modern, grey concrete building across the walkway from you, facing you as you turn out of the door. Enter through the main doors, walk straight ahead and turn right to find a staircase. The dining hall is up two flights of stairs. The Darendhorf Room is in the Founders building; as you enter the college through the main entrance, take the left door out into the grounds; walk down some steps to your right and continue around the side of the building, turning right around its corner. The Founders building is a large modern red brick building across the lawn in front of you. There is a small quadrangle with grass in the middle of it, and the Dahrendorf Room is on the right hand side. The Late Bar is on the ground floor of the Hilda Besse building, immediately to your left as you enter the building.

BAE is responsible for sponsoring the murder of civilians by oppressive regimes especially in Indonesia and Israel, and for corruption in this country and others. They sell to everyone from Saudi Arabia to Zimbabwe, without concern for anything save profit. Arms companies are the reason why wars are possible and genocide is an every day reality in this world.
