Speaker: PROFESSOR AVI SHLAIM, Fellow of St Antony’s College and a Professor of International Relations at the University of Oxford. Author of many books and frequent commentator in the media on international affairs, especially the Middle East.

1) Most of the so-called Palestinian refugees left Palestine voluntarly after being asked to be neighbouring arab countries.
2)700,000 Jews were forceably expelled from arab countries during the 1948 war.
3)Israel offered the Palestinian authroity a Palestinian state in the year 2,000 which was flatley refused by Yasser Arafat.
4)The PLO is the worlds biggest terrorist organisation which has carried out a 38 year campaign of areoplane hijackings, kidnappings, assasinations, bombings, armed robberies, drug smuggling and extortion to fund its terrorist activities.
5)Israel like any country has right to defend itself. The so-called apartheid wall is in fact an anti-suicide bomber fence and wall designed to stop suicide bombers from entering Israel and save Israeli lives.
6)There will be lasting peace in the Middle East when the Palestinians lay down their arms and renounce terrorism once and for all!

People with any views should be able to express whatever they want here.
In response, surely more constructive to enter a debate, refute lies, educate ignorance and explain misunderstandings.
If we all stay in our bunkers lobbing insults and listening only to people who think like us, nothing will change. And you never know, someone may say something that enables you to change your mind?!
