Wrong person

The police are just trying to crack down on a legitimate peaceful protest group, and find it convenient to blame Mel. As the saying goes 'All coppers are bastards'.

Just another way of closing down a lawful protest and silencing effective protesters. I am sure the remand over Christmas is just an extra dose of personal spitefulness from the loser non achievers who make up the police.

jumping to conclusions

Lets wait for the police to present their 'evidence' before condemming mel.
I wonder if their evidence will include the following:
1) The police taped themselves conspiring to 'fit up' mel & other members of `speak. Have a look at  http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2007/05/370831.html
2) Mel has been arrested, since then, on a number of occasions. After each event it was found that he had done nothing wrong.
3) Mel's mum (who is a pensioner) has been assaulted on at least two occasions by people connected to Oxford university. The police have charged no one with anything.
4) The Police are being sued by mel and others for assault.

Should anyone trust police 'evidence' in this case? Is there a danger of bias or malice in this case that could lead to a miscarrage of justice? If the police don't mention the above at Crown court next week perhaps someone (you, reading this!) should draw this to the Court's attention.
Watch this space!

SPEAK WATCH?

The original poster isn't Mel friendly.

They reffered to Mel as "Broughton".

Sounds like a cop, or someone who's in bed with the cops (Ewwww!!!!!)

Don't let the police get away with this!

Mel is clearly an honest, trustworthy man.
District Judge Wright openly questioned the integrity of police officers right across the Thames Valley force who were involved in the 'fit up' that went to court earlier this year.
Mel's recent arrest is a vile attempt to intimidate and discourage people from speaking out against Oxford University's outdated 'science'.
I would urge everyone to look at the evidence- the tape of Thames Valley police recorded by themselves on 21.6.06 when they talked of 'waging a dirty war' against Mel, and referred to protestors as 'c--ts'.

Is mel a mad bomber?
Well, a while back some real mad bombers reared their heads. What was mel & SPEAK´s response:

 http://www.speakcampaigns.org/news/20050707demo.php

This is just the sort of reaction that you would expect from a mad bomber. If you work for NETCU, that is!

Perhaps mel´s arrest is more a case of NECTU being seeen to be "doing something" about these "unwashed protesters" in order to appease their masters. After all, the Animal Rights Militia have been busy recently and i´m sure that someone is upset as a result.

NETCU´s answer to the problem is to round up the usual suspect. Its not justice but at least it keeps them in a job.
Bah humbug.
Merry christmas mel. I hope this costs them a fortune in compo.
