Lashings of Ginger Beer: An Infinite Capacity for Love and Joy: Queer History, S/M and T.H. White

On the other hand, it's quite likely that you've come across some of his work at some point, and just haven't registered his name. Anyone who is, like me, a fantasy nerd or obsessed with all things King-Arthur-related has probably come across his Arthurian … Read more

Oxford Friends of the Earth: FoE Conference

The conference last weekend was a great thing to go to. We were up for an award but were pipped to the post by Caerphilly who have been fighting an incinerator in the Valleys. It brought home to me how important the work we do on preserving forests throughout t… Read more

Save Temple Cowley Pools: OxMail - the Council's Propaganda Machine

Close Campsfield Campaign: The New Bail Guidance for Immigration Judges: Will It Make Any Difference? A note from the Bail Observation Project, September 2011

The issuing of up-to-date guidance notes to immigration judges must be an urgent priority. In our report Immigration Bail Hearings, we recorded our concerns about many aspects of the immigration bail process; the recommendation above was one of a … Continue reading → 1. http://closecampsfield.wordpress.com/2011/09/11/the-new-bail-guidance-for-immigration-judges-will-it-make-any-difference-%e2%80%93-a-note-from-the-bail-observat… Read more

Oxford Save Our Services: Can you take action to kick off the national campaign against the selling off of ALL public services on Sept 24th?

Take action to stop the Big Sell Off Yes, you heard it right. The Opening Up Public Services White Paper, recently brought out by the coalition, intends to introduce a ‘presumption’ that all public services (except the military and judiciary) can be run by private companies. If you didn’t like the selling off of the NHS, you ain’t seen nothing yet. This is the time we’ll look back on and say ‘… Read more
