News just in from the struggle to stop the road through the woods and country-side in Midlothian - trees have been cut down and people are needed.

Activists from the Anti Bypass camp write :

Tree-felling near Bilston Glen ON Sep 17, 2003 - 05:22 PM by andrew

A 4-foot wide access road has been cut about 20 metres (crap estimate) into the forest, joining up with an existing path, providing access to the forest from the industrial estate. This is a rather serious development. We need you now.

We need food, ropes, climbing gear, money, etc. but more than any of that shit we need you to come up and get involved. The site phone number is 07986632429. if you want to be on the eviction alert phone tree, email me (punkshit @ yahoo.com) or phone site. bear in mind pens are easily trampled into the mud or lost.

Note - to get there from central Edinburgh, take the 37 bus towards Penicuik, get off at the first stop in Bilston, go through gate opposite VW place.
