The G8 Bikeride leaves Lancaster fat and happy

The G8 Bikeride leaves Lancaster fat and happy after 2 days of chilling, eating, drinking, chatting, plotting and, of course, the usual repairs

What an amazing experience! The cycle caravan, the G8 bikeride, the glorious group of people who say no to cars, have just left Lancaster escorted by her Majesty's finest. Having arrived Saturday night and spent the weekend in Galgate, a village outside Lancaster where also an Indymedia network meeting was once accomodated, the caravan headed for Penrith on their way to Edinburgh.

It has been a wonderful thing to welcome the bikeride, to be with them and to participate in their project........ old friends, new friends, many ideas and visions - a lot of energy and conviction - that is more or less how the group came across.

Thank you cyclists!! You have left us feeling better about the world - in all this shit, there are people who take the road less travelled and who remain optimistic and, importantly, creative! Well done.... See you in Scotland ;)
