In an unprecedented development, members of the public were banned from the court proceedings for over 100 people arrested yesterday which started this morning at Chambers Street court. Meanwhile Court 6 is fully closed and there is no information at all about what is happening there. Many people are effectively being deported from Edinburgh and the surrounding G8 related region due to the restrictive bail conditions being imposed.
Update: 3.16pm: Supporters waiting for more to be released at Dyer St are being surrounded by police.
