Raposo Family - Still here, Still Fighting

Attempts to remove the family last Friday were stopped
Demonstration Thursday the 18th August 2005 12noon - 2pm
Home Office Building, Brand Street, Govan, Glasgow

From - Glasgow Campaign to Welcome Refugees

There will be a another demonstration on Thursday 19th August 2005 from 12.00 to 2.00 pm at the Home Office building at Brand Street in Glasgow to protest at the arrest, detention and the intention to deport Lucio and Sandra Olinda Raposo and their children, Ponfil aged 7, Michee aged 5 and Ruth aged 18 months. The family have been detained at Yarl's Wood Removal Centre since the 4th August. The Home Office failed to deport the family on the 12th August 2005 due to both the campaign and an application lodged to the high court for temporary admission.
