FBI ordered McKie case 'swept under carpet'

Danny ( junior correspondent ?) | 08.03.2006 16:38 | Anti-militarism | Repression | World

"THE FBI met senior members of Scotland's forensic service to ensure the Shirley McKie affair was "swept under the carpet" and so avoid any embarrassment in the run-up to the Lockerbie trial, according to an investigator into the bombing." - todays Scotsman headline

I see the Scotsman today headlines with the story I posted here last month. I'd feel more smug if Al Megrahi was released tommorow.

I think it is time someone on IM interviewed Al Megrahi directly - I'm going to go to Barlinnie and if anyone else here would like to join me to ensure that my report is unbiased then just say when you are available ( next week at the latest ).

PS I also see Henk Ruyssenaars ('senior correspondent') has the gall to post it as his story on IM Argentina but not here despite his repeated posts here - well, I guess his plagarism is the first proof we have that he is a real journalist ! I don't copyright Henk, you run with it if you want but please keep us updated here ! Come to Barlinnie next week if you are able, I'll give you free digs.
