In the context of the Low Salt's (Glasgow) 'Rack & Ruin' exhibition, Glaswegian artist Stuart Murray will be showing a new collection entitled “In Pubs” which documents a selection of experiences in Glasgow pubs: Proper pubs. Where smelly old men drink.



Stuart combines neutral, non-narrative social observation with minimalist line drawings to record events in his every day life. Previous works have covered subjects such as gentrification, shit jobs, crappy dole courses and the socially marginalised.he opening k

As with all good social commentary, the result is an emotive ambivalence- often hilarious often pathetic; frequently surreal, yet all too familiar.
